The LG Vu Cu915 is the high end multimedia phone from LG. It is designed to appeal to the masses, tech junkies, and fashion fanatics user. I almost thought that it is Apple iPhone but then, I guess it isn’t. However, it did give feel or experience about Apple iPhone. Perhaps I should give it another name, like quasi iPhone?
This LG Vu CU915 actually it is pretty easy to learn and use despite of the looks. The Touch Screen itself is pretty solid although it might not operate as fluid as iPhone’s Touch Screen but it does come pretty close. As for the touch screen size, it has the monster sized 3-inch screen…and it definitely makes the typing a lot easier.
The only bad side for the Touch Screen that it is almost unreadable when come to bright and sunny daylight area. So, I don’t suggest it is a good idea for texting while walking under the broad sunny days.
When come to the MMS and Video Messaging, I have to admit that LG VU completely tramp over the iPhone because it is something that iPhone can’t do and still can’t do even with their new release. Basically, you can send MMS and Video Messaging with LG VU CU915 but not with Apple iPhone. I guess it is something worth to mention for LG VU CU915.
About the camera, I think it is pretty disappointment to still have 2.0 mega pixels. I was expecting for a 5.0 mega pixel or above but overall, 2.0 mega pixels is still acceptable because 2.0 standard seem dominating in most of country. So, it isn’t something I should feel bad for it.
As usual, the battery performance is poor and weak, just like everyone is complaining about. It is pretty much to expect that since the phone itself is super thin, so it kind of inevitable if the battery life didn’t last long.
Another complaint is the charger display and the location of the Micros slot. It is kind annoying because when it is charging, there is nothing that appears on the screen to indicate the charging status. You can’t tell it is either fully charged or not which you can consider it is as a flaw. A minor flaw no less.
As for the MicroSD slot, it is located underneath the sim card and it is nuisance to have to lift the back casing in the order to access the SD slot.
The phone also included a full HTML browser, so it is a good thing if you are a heavy internet browser, of course you shouldn’t expect a Safari browser on this device. Either ways, it pretty good none to less.
Overall, The LG Vu-CU915 is a great phone with a lot of cool features that probably can rival iPhone in certain department. It is definitely a great phone to be consider, especially for those who are not ready or affordable for smart phone
